Popular iGaming software developer International Game Technology (IGT) plc recently signed a multi-year agreement with the Authentic Brands Group. According to the contract, IGT now has exclusive rights to design and distribute Elvis Presley-themed lottery games in the United States and Canada. Authentic Brands Group is a reputed marketing firm that owns the Elvis brand.
Owning the rights to Elvis is a commendable feat for IGT, and the new games will instatly become popular. The legacy of Elvis Presley continues to this day, with the icon having millions of fans worldwide. Punters are in for a treat as IGT plans to launch quite a few titles based on the King of Rock‘ N’ Roll.
Elvis Branded Lottery Games in the Pipeline
Commenting on the new deal, Jay Gendron, IGT’s Chief Operating Officer, said, “Elvis Presley is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable pop icons of the 20th Century. IGT is thrilled to be able to bring Elvis-themed games to the players”.
IGT plans to introduce multi-jurisdictional and multi-channel options to the clients. The goal is to add cross-platform gaming options to the portfolio. The Authentic Brands Group is excited to work with IGT, and the group president, Marc Rosen. He revealed that the team is pleased with the proposition of working with the creative studio to bring gamers exciting new Elvis-branded content.
It’s been a while since IGT launched its last lottery title. The company announced back in September 2020 that it was working with Minnesota Lottery on a new game after signing a two-year extension to the existing contract. IGT has been actively launching games in the state since 2010 and will continue doing so till June 2022.
The extension allows IGT to continue supplying instant ticket services with analytical and reach functions. The company is currently working on a long list of new video slots as well. Back in early March, IGT announced a new title being developed in association with Big Time Gaming. The studios came together to create Wheels of Fortune Megaways.
