Barely a week after entering the Polish online gambling market, Austrian iGaming software developer Greentube signed a deal to take over rival Dutch firm Eurocoin Interactive. According to the company’s official press release, the acquisition will come into effect by the end of the month.

The regulated online gambling market in the Netherlands is set to go live on October 1. And Eurocoin will immediately get a prominent position in the nascent market. Greentube is a subsidiary of Novomatic AG, a reputed Austrian gambling company. Eurocoin Interactive will be rebranded as Greentube Netherlands following the acquisition.

Greentube Netherlands will flaunt a list of the most popular video slots from renowned studios around the world. The firm also plans to offer an extensive lineup of business-to-business solutions for potential clients keeping in mind the growing opportunities in the Netherlands.

Commenting on the acquisition, Reg Das, the Director of Eurocoin Interactive, said, “It’s important to get the basics right when entering a new market. We intend to woo players with our portfolio of high-quality locally-designed games and hope to further enhance Greentube’s fantastic gaming collection”.

The Lucrative Dutch iGaming Market

The agreement gives Greentube unrestricted access to Eurocoin’s local portfolio, which includes some fantastic titles like Simply Wild, Random Runner, and Club 2000, to name a few. Punters can access all the top games and more as operations commence in October.

Michael Bauer, CGO and CFO at Greentube, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Eurocoin Interactive in the Greentube family as we aim to serve local players the highest-quality games. Titles like Simply Wild, Random Runner, and several others have been smashing hits across land-based casinos for a while”.

We plan on adding a range of classic Dutch games to the library before commencing operations in October. Greentube Netherlands is designed with the sole aim of appeasing the local clients, and we’ll leverage Eurocoin’s vast expertise in the local market to that effect”, Bauer added.

Greentube’s efforts to take over Eurocoin marks an impressive start to the year for the iGaming software provider.
